This is the Shipping, Returns and Refund Policy of Mary Akins Art Studio. Please, you are expected to read this policy carefully before you place an order with us. Thank you for shopping at Mary Akins Art Studio. 
Where Do You Ship To?
Mary Akins Art Studio offers shipping within Canada and the United States. Pick up is available within Calgary and environs. We also make delivery internationally around the world.
All Mary Akins artwork packages to Canada & the United States are protected with liability coverage through Canada Post. Therefore, in case something happens to your artwork package during the shipping/delivery process, please notify Mary Akins via info@maryakins.com within 5 business days and you will be instructed on how to return the artwork package.
 
When Will My Order Be Shipped?
Mary Akins aims to process, pack, and ship your order within 2 business day of placing the order. However, orders placed on weekends and holidays will be processed the following business day. Nevertheless, please note that at exceptionally busy times, these shipping timings might vary.
You will receive an order confirmation email when you place your order; as well as when the order has been processed and shipped.
 
If You Did Not Receive an Order Confirmation Email from Mary Akins
Firstly, please check your Junk/Bulk/Spam email folder to ensure that the order confirmation email has not entered this folder in error.
Secondly, contact Mary Akins through this email address: info@maryakins.com, if you cannot find the order confirmation email or if you have deleted the email by mistake and we will be happy to help.
 
Which Shipping Methods Do You Use?
Within Canada, we ship using Canada Post. This means you can expect delivery in around 3-7 business days depending on the location and the shipping method selected as checkout.
Within the United States, we ship using Canada Post. You should receive your order within 5-10 business days depending on the location and the shipping method selected as checkout.
Please note due to the current circumstances – during this Covid-19 period, delivery services may be experiencing delays and disruptions to regular service. Regular updates on the current circumstances and how it may affect their services are available on the specific Courier website.

How Do I Pay for My Order?
Mary Akins uses PayPal payment system – where you have the option of paying using your credit card, debit card or direct transfer from your Bank Account if you have a PayPal account. However, you do not need a PayPal account to make payment to Mary Akins. At checkout, you will have the option to select your preferred method of payment and will be taken through a secure checkout.
Can I Change My Order After I Have Placed It?
Yes, you can as far as the order has not been shipped or the design has not started, in the case of a custom artwork order. So, you cannot amend your order once it has been placed before the order is processed and shipped. I Have not Received My Order, Where Is It?
If you have been waiting to receive your order longer than 10 business days in Canada or longer than 14 business days within the United States, please contact Mary Akins Art Studio using: info@maryakins.com and we will be happy to help.
 I Have Received My Order, But It is Incorrect or Damaged
If you have received a damaged or wrong artwork or product, please contact Mary Akins Art Studio using: info@maryakins.com within 5 business days and provide a photograph of the faulty, damaged, or incorrect artwork or product and your order number and we will take care of it.
Once Mary Akins Art Studio received the artwork or product, we will do an inspection and confirm the receipt of the returned item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment. And you will receive the refund within a certain number of days, which will depend on your card issuer's policies. The original cost of payment and the shipping costs will be refunded.
For faulty or damaged artwork or product, if you want to have the artwork re-made, a new piece of artwork will be made, and the shipping costs to send you the new artwork or product will be free.
For incorrect artwork or product, if you want us to replace the artwork, the correct artwork or product will be sent to you and the shipping cost will be free.
 
Can I Return My Order and Request for a Refund?
Custom Artwork
Returns are not eligible on our Custom Artwork. This is because Mary Akins creates custom Artwork based on our client’s specifications. So, since it is a customized artwork, it is not possible to resell this artwork. Once a deposit is made, the client agrees to have the artwork produced. The client must pay for the cost of the artwork before delivery. For further details and other conditions, please refer to Mary Akins’ Custom Artwork Contract.
 
Originals Artwork & Prints
Returns are permissible for our original artwork and prints. However, you have 5 business days from the date you received the order to notify Mary Akins Art Studio using info@maryakins.com of your intent to return the product. Nevertheless, to be eligible for a return, the product must:
  • be unused,
  • be in the same condition that you received it.
  • be in the original shipping packaging.
  • And you must have the receipt or proof of purchase.
For non-damaged original artwork or prints, you will be responsible for paying for the shipping costs for returning the artwork or product. This return-shipping cost is non-refundable. Perhaps, if Mary Akins Art Studio pays for this return-shipping cost in this case, and your refund is approved, this return-shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.
Once Mary Akins Art Studio received the artwork or prints, we will confirm the receipt of the returned item and proceed to do an inspection to ensure that the artwork or print is not damaged. If your return is accepted and approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment. And you will receive the refund within a certain number of days, which will depend on your card issuer's policies. The original cost of payment will be refunded; but the shipping costs will be withheld from the refund.
 
Downloadable Digital Artwork/Products
All sales on our downloadable digital artwork or product are final and Mary Akins Art Studio do not issue refunds for these products once the order is confirmed, and the product has been processed and shipped. However, you are free to contact us for assistance if you experience any issues or concerns downloading our digital artwork or products.
